Grande Prairie is located 455 Kilometres North West of Edmonton.  The region has a very diverse economy with resources ranging from agriculture, forestry, oil, and natural gas.  Grande Prairie also has become the “Shopping Capital of the North”.

Annual Events include the Stampede, Highland Games, Canada Day Celebrations, and Heritage Day Festival.
