Grande Prairie is located 455 Kilometres North West of Edmonton.  The region has a very diverse economy with resources ranging from agriculture, forestry, oil, and natural gas.  Grande Prairie also has become the “Shopping Capital of the North”.

Major shopping centres include City Centre, the Prairie Mall & Area, and the Gateway Power Centre & Area. In addition, there are numerous strip malls and commercial/retail businesses located throughout the City that cater to a variety of needs and interests.
